Housing
In Basel, all accommodation placements work via WoVe, the accommodation service of the FHNW, and the University of Basel. When international students are accepted for a course of study or exchange semester, they can register with the student accommodation center, WoVe. For a small fee, this organization will assist in the finding of a separate furnished room or studio, or a room within a communal flat. The rental for such accommodation is between CHF 500 and 900 per month. There is a choice of homestay or shared flat accommodation in the area of Brugg-Windisch. Rates start from CHF 360 per month (which includes utilities). The Accommodation Office will assist exchange students to find accommodation. There is a limited number of rooms available in Olten at affordable rates. Students should budget between CHF 450 and CHF 600 per month for accommodation (which includes utilities).
