OK, I know one of the reasons many of you are members is for the objective information, so I'll just go ahead and say it. This school did not impress me so much. The feeling I got was similar to what I would imagine being like a for-profit school in the US. There are a few different schools under the Vistula umbrella, but with different names. This was not explained to my satisfaction, but my understanding is that five years ago, a number of schools merged with the Vistula, but maintained autonomy in name only. Poland does not have Universities of Applied Sciences, but this school is admittedly more practically oriented. As you may know, I think that having a focus on applied knowledge is a positive quality, but this school had almost a vocational school feel. This is just my opinion after visiting the school and meeting with administrators. It does seem that a number of positive changes have been made within the past five years, so it is quite possible that my opinion would not be the same a few years from now.
