The Technical University of Civil Engineering of Bucharest has an elite teaching staff (157 professors and consulting professors, 122 associate professors, 107 lecturers, 198 assistants, and teaching assistants) and is a university whose results are attested both by the teaching and research activities, as well as the direct participation in the completion of the most important buildings in our country.
In Romania over 10,000 firms – most of them private – are registered with different engineering activities within their profile, such as design, execution, repairs, etc. In the context of EU integration, civil engineering has proved to be a very dynamic sector. Today, thousands of graduates of the Technical University of Civil Engineering of Bucharest are working in the U.S., Canada, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Israel, South Africa, etc. The solid knowledge acquired at this university has enabled them to rapidly integrate and adapt to the conditions and working methods in other countries. Everywhere in the world, civil engineers trained at TUCEB rank among the best professionals in their domain. The reorganization of the national system of higher education in Civil Engineering, by the Bologna Process, opens up new recognition prospects for the graduates of the Technical University of Civil Engineering of Bucharest (TUCEB), as well as better chances of integrating into the European occupational market. The Technical University of Civil Engineering of Bucharest is the initiator and coordinator of the EUCEET Thematic Network, which includes 131 partner institutions from 29 European countries. In March 2001, the University of Civil Engineering in Bucharest signed a double diploma agreement with Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées, this being the first agreement of this kind in the field of technical higher education in our country. The University of Civil Engineering of Bucharest is a technical university for training specialists with higher competence in the fields of civil engineering, building services engineering, mechanical engineering/construction machinery and equipment, environmental engineering, geodesic engineering, management and engineering, and systems engineering.
The Technical University of Civil Engineering of Bucharest includes seven faculties, of which six provide tuition in Romanian and one in foreign languages (English and French). In addition, there is a Department of Foreign Language Studies. The six faculties that employ Romanian as a teaching vehicle (the Faculty of Civil, Industrial, and Agricultural Engineering, the Faculty of Pyrotechnics, the Faculty of Railways, Roads, and Bridges, the Faculty of Building Services, the Faculty of Technological Equipment, the Faculty of Geodesy) offer academic education for the first graduation cycle ( Bachelor of Science) of four years, its completion being awarded the qualification of engineer, as well as for the second cycle (Master of Science) with the duration of 3 semesters. The Faculty of Engineering in Foreign Languages offers a 4-year academic education for future engineers, whereas the Department of Foreign Languages and Communication offers a three-year university education in Applied Modern Languages (specialization—Translation and interpretation). TUCEB also offers evening classes; these courses cover five years and are held at the Faculty of Building Services and the Faculty of Technological Equipment.

Therefore, mainly, but not exclusively through student associations, the students from the Technical University of Civil Engineering of Bucharest enjoy many extracurricular activities. Being one of the most beautiful periods in a person's life, they try to make the time spent in college a most enjoyable experience.
