Health Insurance
International students studying in the UK for six months or more are entitled to free healthcare under the National Health Service (NHS). The NHS provides a wide range of services, including GP visits, hospital treatment and emergency care.
Fee for international students is £470 per year. And for other visas you need to pay £624 per year. But if your course duration is less than 6 months you don't have to pay any surcharge fee in UK.

Student Residence
You must arrive in the UK on or after the start date of the entry vignette to enter on your student visa. Your actual visa, in the form of a Biometric Residence Permit (BRP), will need to be collected after arriving in the UK. Your BRP is the documentary evidence of your UK immigration permission.
You can apply for a permanent residence card in UK after completing 5 full years of a graduate job. To become a permanent resident, the applicant should get the “indefinite leave to remain (ILR) Visa”. A full-time job, good code of conduct and have no criminal record will help in securing the ILR visa in UK.
