The focus of the two-year follow-up Master’s degree programme is on academic competences and students are provided with advanced education in the field of aircraft design.The student of mechanical engineering design will be acquainted with branches of physics (aerodynamics and mechanics of flight), design rules and procedures for aircraft design (atmospheric or cosmic) and will be presented with individual aircraft systems. Moreover, the graduates will be equipped with the knowledge of aircraft design, methods for aerodynamic analysis, aerodynamics formulas, load determination methods and strength analysis. Our students will be able to design aircraft systems and analyse the reliability of the systems.As part of their studies, students will also get acquainted with English aviation terminology and will take part in an appropriate language training. As a part of their thesis, they will be required, under professional supervision, to come up with a technical solution to an engineering problem.The main goal of the follow-up Master’s degree programme is to prepare professionals who can pursue a career in the field, in technology companies in the Czech Republic or abroad.
