Profile
The Master course has been designed to expand dance studies, practical dancing and theatre science elements, to go more deeply into them and to reflect on them theoretically in seminars and also to try them out in practical courses, scenic projects and do the same, artistically and practically, with the students’ own work. The course ends with the successful completion of all the modules. The thesis consists of an artistic-practical piece of work done by the students. The Master course Choreography and Performance consists of 11 modules covering 120 credit points (cp). In the first year of studies the focus is, on the one hand, on the expansion of the theoretical- scientific skills and on the other on the individual practical skills in the area of artistic practice, choreography, body training, movement research and organisation. In the second year of studies artistic and theoretical knowledge will be broadened and the connections between these varied areas will be established. The knowledge and skills that have been acquired from Modules 1-10 come into use in the course of producing the thesis connecting theory and practice.
