Some language adjustments may be made for the student group so that, for example, Swedish can be used in certain situations during the programme. In the written parts of the programme, students can usually choose to write in English or Swedish.Part of the programme consists of compulsory modules, which are common to all students regardless of course profile. The course Reflections on practical knowledge gives students the tools to critically review and describe the artistic work that they create and that of others through more in-depth study of the philosophical and theoretical foundations of the artistic field of knowledge.Another part of the programme consists of Elective courses. The students here identify their need for further knowledge and take responsibility for their knowledge development. The Independent degree project comprises the equivalent of one semester’s total work. The point of departure for the project is a research question, such as a study of an artistic method or the examination of an artistic process. The work is individual and is presented in the form of examples of practical work and written text.Within the Production course, the students formulate and solve advanced artistic and interpretative (figuration) problems and demonstrate the ability to conduct experiments in storytelling and/or interpretation (figuration). They also plan and, using adequate methods, carry out qualified artistic tasks within given schedules.
