Graduates of the 2nd cycle studies, with a Master Degree in Fisheries, have the knowledge and skills which enable them to solve problems in fisheries on a local, regional, state and global scale. The acquired knowledge will enable them to improve fish breeding and stock material production. The graduates can also apply biotechnological methods in fish production. The objective of the studies is to educate high-class specialists – managers, who can run and supervise fish farms. The graduates are also prepared to work creatively as ichthyology engineers and managers, who will supervise fish farms, fish breeding centres and fish hatcheries; as representatives of companies which manufacture and sell fish feeds, fishing and fish processing equipment, companies which import and export fish; as ornamental fish production and trade specialists; as researchers in fisheries institutes; as experts on the proper application of biotechnology methods in animal production, employed in specialist laboratories and advisory centres; fish economy inspectors in state and local government offices. Graduates of the 2nd cycle Fisheries Studies know at least one foreign language well enough to communicate and to read foreign language specialist references; they also know methodology of conducting scientific research; The graduates are prepared to continue education at the 3rd cycle (PhD) studies.

Admissions Requirements
Applicants need a bachelor’s degree in related field. Applicants from non-anglophone countries should provide proof of English proficiency. Application deadline for non EU students is June 30.
