The 2-year master’s programme in Geoinformatics for Urbanised Society prepares highly qualified specialists on handling and analysing spatial data and developing decision support systems for public, private, and non-governmental sector. Special emphasis of the programme is put on the development of practical skills of students. We live in a global information society, where the governance increasingly relies on sensors, data, analysis, and fast decision making. The programme combines the skills of geography and IT in the age of BIG data. Experts who handle the tools of geoinformatics and understand environmental and social processes at the same time are needed in the contemporary society.

Admissions Requirements
Applicants should have a bachelor's degree with a major in natural or social sciences. The program has prerequisites in geography, geoinformatics, information technology, environmental technology, planning, geology, ecology, biology, environmental physics, economy, sociology, or government and politics. The application period for non-EU students is from January 2 to March 15.
