Profile
The Master’s Degree Programme in Information and Communication Technology provides versatile and high quality ICT education in selected fields of ICT, with an established reputation in innovative interdisciplinary and international education. The programme has international double-degree collaboration with the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) Master School and with the Fudan University in Shanghai, China. The Cryptography specialisation track focuses on cryptography research. The goal of this specialisation is to educate future experts with a strong and broad knowledge of mathematical aspects of cryptography and data security to the field of research and ICT sector. In the Cryptography track modern symmetric and asymmetric cryptography algorithms and protocols are studied and analysed from the mathematical point of view.In the Cryptography specialisation track modern symmetric and asymmetric cryptography algorithms and protocols are studied and analysed from the mathematical point of view. The students learn to assess the strengths and weaknesses of cryptographic solutions based on a deep understanding of the underlying theory. The students also gain the ability to pursue applying cryptographic algorithms and protocols for real-life environments. The topic is approached in a multi-disciplinary fashion with obligatory studies also on security of networked systems and management aspects of information security.
