The objective of the Land and Water Management master‘s programme (LWM) is to aquire theoretical and practical basis for landscape management and assessment of current and future water resources combining ecological and technical approaches to sustainable landscape and nature resources management. The LWM study programme reflects the actual environmental challenges – the sustainable water resources management in the landscape in the international context in particular. Lying at the borders among several disciplines it is at the same time a programme connecting the theory and practice.The LWM graduates are qualified to act as managers of sustainable landscape and water resources, they are familiar with landscape reclamation, soil protection and soil erosion prevention using state of the art geographic information systems, computational methods and simulation tools for water management including impacts of environmental extremes (such as floods or droughts) in a changing climate.
