Profile
The Master’s programme in Nanobiotechnology is all about designing, fabricating and controlling materials and components with dimensions on the nanoscale, i.e. from 1 to 100 nm. Studying Nanobiotechnology, you will gain insight into the technological challenges that engineers within Nanobiotechnology are trying to solve.By constructing materials and devices atom by atom or molecule by molecule, it is possible to obtain decisive control over their properties and develop unique materials with new and unexpected properties for applications within communication, data storage and data processing, (bio)sensors, catalysis or medicine just to mention a few areas.Nanotechnology is an interdisciplinary field of study, requiring expertise within physics, chemistry, biotechnology, mathematics, and materials science. Future engineers holding an interdisciplinary education are therefore invaluable with respect to solving the many challenging materials problems present on the nanoscale.
