The programme leads to a 1-year master’s degree in Tourism Studies, and provides a thorough knowledge of social, cultural, economic and environmental aspects of tourism. With a consistent focus on sustainability it provides skills in analysing, planning and evaluating tourism and tourism-related phenomena on local, global and planetary scales. In addition, the programme provides considerable opportunities for individual choices and specialisations, including practice-related projects within tourism as well as the final thesis. Professor Stefan Gossling and professor Michael Hall, two world-leading tourism researchers, are actively involved in the programme. With a consistent focus on sustainability it provides skills in analysing, planning and evaluating tourism and tourism-related phenomena at local, global and planetary scales. The programme provides considerable opportunities for individual choices and specialisations, including practice-related projects within tourism, as well as the final thesis. It also provides the set of skills necessary for conducting independent research, reflected in the research-based final thesis. Admissions Requirements
Applicants should have a bachelor's degree with a major in tourism studies or in another social science main field of study or equivalent. Applicants from non-anglophone countries must provide proof of English proficiency. The application deadline for non EU students is January 15.
