First year is dedicated to the basic topics required by the activity ofan Automotive Engineer: Mathematics (Mathematical Analysis,Linear Algebra, Analytic Geometry and Differential Equations), Chemistry, Physics, Computer Programming and Programming Languages, Descriptive Geometry and Technical Drawing, Materials Science and Engineering, Mechanics, Electrical Engineering Bases. In the same time, there are square up general skills as: Foreign Languages, and Sports.Second year develop the foundations of technical engineering bases and the subjects studied are refers to: Strength of Materials, Electronics, Mechanisms and Machine Elements, Special Mathematics and Mathematical Statistics, Informatics through disciplines: Numerical Methods, Applied Informatics and Computer Engineering Applications. In this year is done the firststage of practical placement. During this time, students have contact with automotive manufacturing and repair processing equipment and specific technologies of University laboratories or in private enterprises with which University has collaboration agreements.Third year contains topics that, gradually, adapt the teaching curricula to the profile of the study program through specific subjects, such as: Thermodynamics, Mechanical Vibrations, Pneumatic and Hydraulic Automation, Vehicle Dynamics, Internal Combustion Engines, Automotive Engineering Bases, Vehicles Calculus and Constructions, CAD in Automotive, Quality Assurance. al Combustion e Measurements techniques, Fatigue, Structural optimisation, Shock, Elasticity, etc. Practice takes place either in department laboratories or specialized companies in vehicle services and vehicle manufacturing.Fourth-year covers specific subjects, necessary in the future graduate’s training as: Vehicle’s Electric and Electronics Systems, Vehicle’s Body and Vehicle’s Safety, Automotive Manufacturing and Repair, Automotive Diagnostics, Automotive Testing and Conformity, Environmental Engineering, Forensic Investigations of Traffic Accidents, Telematics, Life Cycle Management. The diploma project is designed as an overview of the practical application of acquired knowledge accumulation over four years and is finalized with its presentation before a specialized committee.
