They explore properties and structure of materials which can be used to produce devices and components in direct contact with organism cells. Students familiarize themselves with methods of design and manufacture of biomaterials, implants and artificial organs, and subsequently, they learn the methods to analyze their mechanical, physicochemical and biological properties as well as their applications to medicine.
