The programme runs in an active research environment, in close contact with the front-line biomedical research performed at Karolinska Institutet. Since biomedicine is a discipline built around international collaboration, you are encouraged to study part of the programme at one of our international partner universities.
The curriculum consists of courses in general natural sciences, together with more medically oriented courses. As a student, you are trained in laboratory practices and scientific methods, and introduced to basic and translational research. Teaching is conducted at several of the departments at Karolinska Institutet.
Admissions Requirements
High School Graduation Diploma and satisfactory entrance test. The specific requirements are Swedish courses that you must have the equivalent of from your previous studies.
