Profile
The Bachelor of Business Studies (BBS) program at the University of Limerick (UL) is a four-year program that provides students with a broad understanding of business principles and practices. The program covers a wide range of topics, including accounting, economics, finance, human resource management, and marketing. Students also have the opportunity to specialize in one area of business in their third year.
The BBS program is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), which is one of the leading international accreditation bodies for business schools. This accreditation is a testament to the high quality of the program.
Here are some of the key features of the program:
- A strong focus on practical business skills, with students gaining hands-on experience in real-world projects.
- A team-based approach to learning, with students working on projects together to develop their problem-solving and communication skills.
- A wide range of elective modules in areas such as entrepreneurship, international business, and social enterprise.
- Opportunities for students to participate in international exchanges and internships.
Dual Degree Opportunity:
In addition, students can avail of an amazing opportunity to earn a second degree from a leading international business school. Under this ‘dual degree’ pathway, Bachelor of Business Studies (BBS) students spend their first two years studying in Limerick and their last two years studying at another Business School (while retaining an international work placement). Our six partner institutions are located in France, Germany, Poland and Japan. Upon successful completion of their four years of study, students will receive both UL’s Bachelor of Business Studies degree and an equivalent degree from the other business school.
