The Bachelor of Dental Medicine (BDS) program at Masaryk University is a 6-year program that provides students with the knowledge and skills needed to practice dentistry. The program is taught in English and is open to students from all over the world.
Divided into two phases:
- The first phase is a 3-year pre-clinical program that covers the basic sciences, such as anatomy, physiology, and biochemistry.
- The second phase is a 3-year clinical program that covers the clinical aspects of dentistry, such as operative dentistry, prosthodontics, and oral surgery.
The BDS program at Masaryk University is a highly regarded program and graduates are in high demand by employers. The program has a strong alumni network, which can help graduates find jobs and advance their careers. Students also have the opportunity to choose elective courses in areas such as orthodontics, pediatric dentistry, and implantology. Admissions Requirements
Completed secondary education (i.e. secondary school, high school, college, etc.) and written entrance examination consisting of three separate tests in the following subjects: Chemistry, Biology, Physics or Mathematics. Applicants from USA and Canada can be accepted on the basis of MCAT tests results (minimum 24 or 500 points according to a year of passing) or DAT tests results (minimum 20 points).
