International linkages in times of globalisation have fundamentally influenced the tax systems and related laws. Companies, tax authorities, as well as legislative authorities, are increasingly concerned with international taxation. Therefore, the contents of the degree have a strong international focus and consequently aim at national and worldwide tax issues. Students are equipped with substantial knowledge of the national fiscal law, especially with respect to Income Tax Law, Procedural Law and Business Taxation. Based on the legal framework, topics in the field of international taxation like bilateral agreements or supranational law are analysed and discussed critically. The graduates will identify and evaluate sophisticated tax issues economically and legally and be able to create appropriate solutions, e.g., in the following areas:
Transfer Pricing-Controlled Foreign Corporation-Legislation-Double Tax Conventions-International Tax PlanningSpecial attention is paid to the logical connection between business administration, law and general economics.
A theoretical foundation together with a practical orientation and the interdisciplinary character of the degree programme qualifies graduates for a challenging job market and/or for a consecutive master’s programme. The programme is taught in English, which allows you to refine your proficiency and develop an excellent command of taxation-related terminology, greatly enhancing your employability in the global job market.
