The Major in International Finance in the Department of International Business Administration is concerned with the application of economics within financial and non-financial institutions and markets. As such, finance is about the optimal allocation of scarce financial assets (i.e., money, loans, bonds, stocks, and currencies). Problems in a finance deal with time, information, uncertainty, diversification, hedging, and asset management, and focus on empirical predictions. The mission of the International Finance Major is to prepare students to understand the economic and financial environment, and enable them to evaluate alternative investment opportunities, finance those opportunities and manage optimal portfolios.

Part time tuition is determined on a per-credit basis; for 2023-24 part time tuition is €1,078 per credit.
