Profile
Pharmacy is a healthcare profession focused on the safe and effective use of medications. Pharmacists play a vital role in the healthcare system, ensuring patients receive the correct medications at the appropriate dosage. They work in various settings, including community pharmacies, hospitals, clinics, and pharmaceutical companies.
A Master of Pharmacy (MPharm) is a postgraduate professional degree program that qualifies graduates to become registered pharmacists. The program typically lasts four years and includes classroom instruction, laboratory training, and clinical rotations.
Working alongside other future healthcare professionals, you’ll talk to patients about their conditions and treatment. Through case studies, you’ll learn how chemistry, pharmacology and pharmaceutics affect clinical practice. In Year 4, you’ll complete a research-based project, for which you’ll receive specialist tuition.
