Product Development and Innovation Engineering
Profile
With a bachelor of science in engineering degree in Product Development and Innovation you will be the project manager. You will be the one managing the entire manufacturing process – from idea to final product. And you will be able to see the potential of new technology and know how to turn it into business.First semester In the first semester you will be indroduced to the entire product development process. At the same time you will strengthen your engineering skills in math, knowledge about materials, construction and CAD drawing. You will also learn about subjects such as business know-how, market analysis and product planning. You and your project group will be trained to develop (innovate) a product to be improved in the areas of both engineering and business. Second semester In this semester you will work with creativity and idea development. Through real projects you will continue working on innovation and prototypes. You and your project group will define a problem and work towards a potential solution. Using a mug up/prototype you will demonstrate how the solution makes sense both in terms of engineering and business. Third semester In this semester you will learn how to bring a concept on to a more detailed stage of design. There will be focus on how to develop and document mechanical design, industrial design, development of prototypes and market analysis. Fourth semester During the fourth semester you will go into more detail in different aspects of product development, product planning and global networks. Through project work you will be trained in making a mechanical design that is practical, easy and cheap to produce. Fifth semester In the fifth semester there are good opportunities for spending a semester in a university abroad. The Faculty of Engineering has a wide selection of partners – both within and outwith Europe. If you choose to stay in Denmark you will be trained in entrepreneurship and innovation. You will work with students from other disciplines in solving real problems for a company. Sixth semester This is where you will bring together all your knowledge and skills from the previous semesters. You will primarily work on a subject chosen by yourself for your bachelor project which is often done in cooperation with a company.The teaching language is English.

Admissions Requirements
Qualifying upper secondary school degree, Mathematics level A, and one of the following combinations:Physics level B and Chemistry level C.Physics level B and Biotechnology level A.At Geoscience level A and Chemistry level C.
