The Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Sociology and Politics at ATU Sligo is a combined program that equips students with a critical understanding of how social and political forces shape our world.
- Sociology focuses on the study of human societies, analyzing social structures, everyday practices, and issues of inequality (economic, power, gender, race).
- Politics delves into decision-making processes within groups and organizations, including governments, businesses, and even schools.

"Ireland bases its tuition rates on residence (3 of the last 5 years living in the EU) despite whether you're an EU citizen or not. In other words, only those who have resided in an EU country 3 of the last 5 years are eligible for the discounted rates."
Admissions Requirements
High School Diploma with a minimum GPA of 3.0 plus: SAT score of 1000+ (1800 prior to 2016) or ACT composite score of 22 and above or 2-3 Advanced Placement Examinations in relevant subjects with grades 3 and above OR 2-3 SAT subject tests in relevant subjects with a minimum score of 600 in each.
