A bachelor’s degree in aviation gives you insight into almost all aspects of modern aviation (short of flying or designing airplanes):Maintenance schedulesManaging airports and airlinesLogistic and general aviation consultingGovernment safety standardsAs you would expect, most of the course focuses on science and engineering, with a heavy focus on aviation operations in general. Subjects like economics, transportation law, and business courses may also be included, again with emphasis on the running of airplanes and airlines. As the entire aviation field is highly internationalized, you should have no problem gaining a European degree you can use back in the states (or vice versa).Professionals in this field are known for being observant, responsible, and clearheaded. This is often a job requirement, as many individuals in related fields have to perform under demanding or stressful circumstances.
