Textile and Fashion
Profile
Textiles and fashion can be regarded as a visual language reflecting the spirit of the time, coupled to materials, craft and tradition. During the four-year Bachelor Textile & Fashion programme at the Royal Academy of Art, The Hague (KABK) you will be coached and encouraged to develop your personal opinion, style, and creative signature. As a fashion designer, you will study sociology, anthropology, semiotics, psychology, and visual culture. As a textile designer, you will work with concepts such as material, shape, structure, and environment, whether it involves decorating an interior, designing clothing, industry or product development, or your autonomous expression. We focus on innovative, accurate, and relevant design.
