Then University College Venlo (UCV) is the programme for you. At UCV, you have the opportunity to focus on health, nutrition and business in an interdisciplinary manner. At UCV you design your own curriculum by choosing from a broad range of courses from the social sciences (e.g. psychology, sociology, economics, health management, public health or law) and life sciences (e.g. biology, chemistry and informatics, physiology and genetics).University College Venlo (UCV) is unique. You follow your interests and select your own courses. This enables you to study issues related to health, nutrition and business in an interdisciplinary manner. It is increasingly recognised that food can be regarded as medicine and can be used in either the prevention or the treatment of various chronic diseases. With the help of your personal academic advisor, you build a tailor-made bachelor’s programme and for example study this topic as nutritional pharmacotherapy (medicine 2.0). The central part of your study programme is made up by courses within the concentration of your choice: Social sciences or Life sciences. In the Social sciences concentration, you can choose courses in fields such as Psychology of eating, Economics and Behavioural change. The Life sciences concentration offers courses like Biology, Epidemiology of Food, Pharmacology and Toxicology and Datamining. Combining courses from different disciplines will help you develop a distinct academic profile, perfectly adapted to the master’s programme or professional position you aim for.At UCV, you can choose to focus on one of our two concentrations: Social Sciences or Life Sciences. Each concentration offers a wide variety of courses in different disciplines. The Social Sciences concentration lets you choose for example courses in psychology, sociology, economics, health management, public health or law. The Life Sciences concentration offers courses in biology, chemistry, informatics and physiology. You may also opt for an interdisciplinary concentration. You choose courses from both concentrations to create a truly broad profile.University College Venlo (UCV) is a 3-year bachelor’s programme in Liberal Arts & Sciences, meant for talented and ambitious students. Students can design their own curriculum out of a broad range of courses in a variety of disciplines. As such, youhave the opportunity to create the perfect profile for the master’s programme or professional career of your choice.The programme is offered at UM’s satellite campus in Venlo. As Venlo is the centre of one of the Food and Logistics hubs of the Netherlands, UCV opens up (but is not restricted to) the fields of business & supply chain management, and food, nutrition & health to your interests and talents. Academic and practical perspectives are combined. You learn to apply your knowledge from day one onwards. With all courses taught in English and attracting a wide range of nationalities, you will find yourself in a truly international academic community.

If you are an international applicant, and you do not meet the admission requirements, then you may be eligible for the Foundation Programme. After successfully completing the Foundation Programme, you will be eligible for admission to this bachelor’s programme.
September intake: application deadline for EU students is July 1.
February intake: application deadline for non-EU students is November 1 and for EU January 1.
