The Baltic International Academy is one of the higher educational institutions of the Republic of Latvia, which implements the mission of Latvia’s regional and educational development by the provision of competitive, internationally recognized diverse fields of study; carrying out the training of competitive specialists who are socially responsible members of society; respecting human rights and the environment; going to the continuous improvement and development by the elaboration of innovative research; ensuring the formation of long-term development of society and the economy of knowledge of Latvia in general.The Academy is one of the largest non-governmental higher educational institutions in the Baltic States and Northern Europe and was founded in 1992. The branches of the Academy are located in the seven largest cities in Latvia, so the Academy is represented in all regions of the country.
Housing
There are a number of options for foreign students arriving in Riga. Foreign students can live in dormitories, student hotels, hostels, rent a room or a flat. The cost of accommodation depends on the level of offered amenities and the number of people living in one room, e.g.
basic amenities – around 140-200, EUR /month;
better living conditions – 200-300 EUR/month;
the cost of accommodation in a private flat – 7-15 EUR/m2.
