Technical University Kaiserslautern
Description
TUK’s research was highly regarded, and it was home to several world-renowned research institutes, including the Center for Robotics and Mechatronics, the Institute for Computer Science, and the Institute for Microsystems Technology. TUK was also an internationally oriented university, with over 80 partner universities worldwide. Students had the opportunity to study abroad for one or two semesters, and the university also offered a number of English-language programs for international students.
TUK was located in the heart of Kaiserslautern, a city with a population of over 100,000 people. The city is home to a number of other universities and research institutions, as well as a number of international companies.
On January 1, 2023, TUK was merged with the Landau campus of the University of Koblenz-Landau to form the University of Kaiserslautern-Landau (RPTU).
