The University of Rome Tor Vergata was established in 1982: it is therefore a relatively young University. It was designed on the model of Anglo-Saxon campuses: it stretches on 600 hectares and hosts important research institutions, such as CNR and the Italian Space Agency – ASI.
Campus life at Tor Vergata University Rome is extremely exciting and stimulating. Tor Vergata takes care of its students and staff by offering a wide selection of events, services, sports activities, and special offers. Also, Campus X, the main student accommodation, is a reliable landmark for events and entertainment. The Tor Vergata University of Rome is focused on health and sport. The University is located on a six-hundred-acre campus and hence has a natural vocation for sports. Sports facilities consist of two 5-a-side soccer fields, a tennis court, a basketball court, and a volleyball court. They integrate with a number of private sports facilities close to the campus which are University partners in order to offer students, professors, and technical and administrative staff a diverse range of sports disciplines. A school field has recently been added as part of such partnerships: it is equipped with a privately run golf course which is open at night too.
Housing is provided, though not guaranteed, through Campus X. Studios, double apartments, and triple apartments are available. The amenities offered are pretty incredible. In addition to the ac and free wifi, there is also a market, a bar/restaurant, a fitness area, and even a paintball area! Shared apartments range from 470–570 euros per month.
Students can apply for tuition reductions by supplying their family income. Also, scholarships are available based on the program the student applies to. Here are the scholarships for the business program.
