From the school: Sports and leisure facilities The City of Pardubice and the University itself provide a very wide range of opportunities for the students to spend their free time. The University campus offers the students gymnasiums with a modern gym, a fitness center, clubrooms, tennis courts, a boathouse, and tennis, football, and basketball grounds, allowing training in all sports at various levels. Furthermore, the University Sports Club can meet the students' demands for technical sports, e.g. shooting, biathlon, triathlon, and radio orienteering. The Sports Club offers students 8 sports teams—aerobic, sports for all, badminton, basketball, water sports and tourism, table tennis, volleyball, and rowing. The City of Pardubice lies in the lowlands, offering great opportunities for cycling and in-line skating. The city has an indoor swimming pool and two open-air pools. An ice hockey rink is within a walking distance of the campus. Every autumn, Pardubice holds a world-famous Velká Pardubická steeplechase, and a well-known speedway race Zlatá přilba – Golden Helmet.
