The University of the Aegean, as a valid and high-level academic research institution, which is active in modern and dynamic cognitive subjects, aspires to consolidate and further strengthen its position in the Greek and international academic environment and to increase its attractiveness in terms of both economic and social crisis, while acting more vigorously to strengthen the institutional, developmental, and social cohesion of the Polynesian region of the Eastern Mediterranean. To achieve its vision, the University of the Aegean invests in the quality of its academic composition and in the responsibility of its Scientific and Administrative Staff and builds on the tradition of innovation, interdisciplinarity, and social responsibility. Basic and applied scientific research of international scope, by all the Departments and the Scientific Staff of the University which is utilized at the international, national, regional and local level, through various publications, conferences and works (applied research, development interventions), etc.
