Students select one of the following core subject areas: English linguistics, British literary and cultural studies, North American literary and cultural studies or transcultural Anglophone studies. By participating in conferences and trips to partner universities abroad and by exploiting the programme’s rich network of contacts in English-speaking countries, students acquire insight into and an understanding of current academic research.A distinctive feature of the M.A. programme is the module Career planning, professionalism and world-of-work skills. The module is designed for flexibility and to enable students to prepare for their careers during the Master’s programme. Students can take part in training courses to acquire key soft skills, attend summer schools, join a work placement scheme or complete an internship, work on academic projects, prepare their first academic publications, or carry out any other activity of value for their future career start.

Admissions Requirements
bachelor's degree with a program major that covers bachelor degree with a major in a program that covered English / American studies, modern English literature, and cultures / postcolonial studies. Applicants from non-anglophone countries should provide proof of English proficiency. The application deadline for non-EU students is August 31.
