The special track in Linguistics provides students with an in-depth foundation in contemporary trends of linguistics, linguistic and cross-linguistic research methods. The focus is on training autonomous linguists being capable of creatively addressing language use-related issues and being able to use the acquired linguistic competences in their research and/or teaching career at educational and/or research institutions.There is a wide range of opportunities for professional activities. Graduates of the English Studies (Linguistics) programme may look for employment not only in the academic field (research and teaching at higher education institutions), but also in many other language-related areas (editing, translation, lexicographic practice, proofreading and publishing), in which practical application of the acquired linguistic competences is required.

Admissions Requirements
Applicants need a bachelor’s degree with a major in a field related to the desired Master's Degree.Applicants from non-anglophone countries must provide proof of English proficiency.Application deadline for non EU students is May 1.
