Profile
Upon entering the Master’s program, students will devise a scientific project with the graduate program’s faculty and researchers. Throughout the program, students are expected to work closely with an academic advisor and a student mentor (who is enrolled in a PhD program) and to participate actively in academic seminars and research projects. This will provide students with solid preparation to carry out subsequent doctoral research, either in the affiliated doctoral program (through which PhD funding is available) or elsewhere.
There are two tracks for applying to PGSL, an early decision track and a standard track.
The early decision track is recommended for foreign students who are not yet in France, as it is backed by funding scheme for our graduate school. Before applying to either, choose an MA program from those described below.
– Theoretical and Experimental Linguistics (University Paris City, Linguistics department)
– Computational Linguistics (University Paris City, Linguistics department)
– Phonetics and Phonology (University Paris City, Linguistics department and University Sorbonne Nouvelle)
– English linguistics (University Paris City, Department of English and American Studies)
– Logos interdisciplinary programme in Philosophy, Linguistics, Logic, and Computer Science
