Our Chemical Science & Engineering programme places a strong emphasis on the technological application of chemistry. That means it is important that you are not only keen on natural sciences, but also technically skilled. Of course, physics and mathematics are crucial, too, along with chemistry.The applied nature of our programme ensures a lot of variety. You will discover that societal interests, profitability, sustainability and good planning and communication are often just as important as the technological solution.You will learn all about the different areas within Chemical Science & Engineering, including its main pillars: chemistry, materials science and process technology. The curriculum also includes more physically oriented subjects, such as thermodynamics and quantum mechanics. You will also get familiar with the mathematics necessary for solving Chemical Science & Engineering problems, for example calculating a large chemical process. Throughout the programme, we also focus on team work and presentation techniques.In the third year, you will have the opportunity to add an entirely different discipline to your toolbox, such as Business Administration or Aeronautical Engineering and Management.
