Then, the Bachelor of Applied Sciences at HZ University of Applied Sciences offers you a limitless future!Approximately 40% of the study will consist of experiments in the laboratories. These experiments are carried out in our spacious laboratories with advanced equipment. Quality is paramount in every respect.The first two years introduce you to the professional field and you learn everything about general chemistry and biology. In the third year you choose between the majors ‘Applied Chemistry’ and ‘Life Sciences’.

Admissions Requirements
Diploma equivalent to the Dutch secondary education diploma (HAVO/VWO), chemistry and mathematics. Biology would be an advantage.​
Notes
This study programme offers a three-year track for excellent students. After completion of the study programme, you hold a Bachelor of Science of 180 ECTs. Admission to this programme depends on your preliminary education. To be eligible, you would need a secondary education diploma that is equivalent to the Dutch VWO diploma, an International Baccalaureate (IB) diploma or Abitur, 3 A-levels. The study coordinator will decide on your admission in this 3-year track after having reviewed your records.
Start in September: we advise you to apply before May 1. Deadline for EU students is August 1.
