International Cooperation in Agriculture and Rural Development (ICARD) is a three-year Bachelor’s program. The program is designed as the first level of university education for future experts in international technical assistance projects in rural development and agriculture. It has been created in accordance with the needs of agricultural development, environmental protection, and, at the same time, the need to tackle poverty and ensure food security in developing countries. In order to teach students how to prepare, manage and evaluate development projects, the study program includes the following: extensive knowledge and skills of graduates in the fields of project management, international communication, and human resources management in a multicultural environment; basic knowledge of biological disciplines as applied to agricultural production; and mandatory practical training in non-profit organizations, government institutions, or private companies dealing with international development and investment projects in developing countries.

Application deadline for EU students is March 31.
The new admission procedure for the academic year 2024/25 will be opened on 10/11/2023.
Admissions Requirements
Completion of secondary education of a general character or the completion of secondary vocational education. For foreign applicants, it is necessary to prove the “nostrification” of the acquired level of education or Recognition of previous studies issued by the CZU in Prague.
