Major challenges in a growing labour marketHelping people in vulnerable situations is part of the day-to-day activities for a student with a Bachelor’s degree in social work (specialising in international social work). From an international perspective, the work can offer extra large challenges in terms of the differences in values and perspectives with regard to culture, religion and tradition.Problem-based learningAs a student of the Bachelor programme in social work specializing in international social work you will acquire an understanding of individuals, groups and society. Through problem-based learning, you will learn how to combine theoretical knowledge with questions and problems in the social field.Broad work areaThe demand for students with a Bachelor’s degree in social work with an international focus has increased in recent years. As a student with a degree in social work with a focus on international social work, the world is your work area with employers such as international aid organisations (a wide work field either abroad or in your home country, for example for international aid organisations.)Tuition on the Bachelor’s degree programme with an international focus is conducted in English. The international Bachelor’s programme in social work is aimed at both Swedish and foreign students with the tuition being conducted in English. After the course of education you will receive a Bachelor’s degree in social work. The programme also gives you access to studies at an advanced level.
Admissions Requirements
High School Graduation Diploma and specific subject requirements in Social Studies and Mathematics corresponding to the level in Swedish upper secondary education.
