Student Life
You won’t find a campus in Fribourg: the town itself is the campus! With 10,000 students among a total of 40,000 inhabitants, living in the town is shaped by the University like nowhere else. This unique combination of medieval heritage and vibrant student life lends it an incomparable charm. The Sports Center offers all members of the University community a diverse sports program. The choice covers over 60 types of sports, including weekly lessons, weekends, and week camps. The offer serves not only as a balance to the studies but also as a chance to discover a so-called lifetime sport. At the beginning of the academic year, all newly beginning students receive by letter a detailed sports program. Enrolling in particular courses happens online. During the semester, the Sports Center office is open twice a week.
