The Degree Programme in Tourism and Hospitality Management offers you a wide range of studies that prepare you to provide high-class, innovative services that clients today require. You will learn how to design hotels, restaurants, and touristic services, how to manage a business, and how to be a successful leader. Sales and marketing skills are also needed, as well as intercultural communication and wide-ranging language skills. The courses are carried out using diverse learning methods from lectures and group work to project-based studies in our own restaurant and in cooperation with local companies. Online learning is also employed. The studies are carried out entirely in English and they include an exchange period or work placement abroad. Graduates of the degree program will work as experts or supervisors in the hotel, restaurant, and tourist sectors. They can be employed in different management, planning, and development positions for example reception managers, restaurant managers, hotel sales managers, area managers in restaurant chains, or destination developers. To be an effective manager, practical and operational expertise is essential. This particular aspect is accomplished through a compulsory placement period
