What is ESN Breda to you? We are a network of students from all over the world. We offer you the opportunity to meet all kinds of people and gain new experiences while doing so. We organize various events that include but are not limited to themed events, cultural events, sports events, and social drinks. With our ESNcard, you enjoy the benefits of our partner discounts. Discounts with partners such as RyanAir, Old Dutch Sports Bar & Restaurant, and Happy Tosti, to name a few.ESN Breda, short for Erasmus Student Network Breda, is part of a large international student organization.
ESN is the largest student network in Europe with over 500 local sections and more than 40 participating countries. Breda averages 600 students per year, with a range of exchange and degree-seeking students joining our network annually.
Sociteit het Forum is the number one place for students to meet. This bar on Havermarkt 12, in the center of Breda, is open to everyone on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and, of course, weekends. Sociëteit het Forum is run by volunteers, meaning the prices are significantly lower compared to other inner-city bars.
Housing
Housing in the student residences is provided and works on a first-come, first-served basis. Rooms range from 330–440 euros per month.

In addition to the 5000 euro Holland Scholarship, non EU students can also apply for the 3000 euro merit based scholarship Avans offers.
Notes
The Universities of Applied Sciences are quite reputable in the Netherlands and provide a way for students without the IB/AP requirements held by the universities to study in this very cool country. That said, students should be aware of extra requirements that may be necessary when applying for graduate school.
