Recreation and Tourism

The general aim of Recreation and tourism study programme is to prepare high-skilled tourism and recreation professionals, experienced in recreation and tourism operation and service, ready to solve problems and fulfill clients’ requirements on public and enterprise level, able to maintain and improve the quality of recreation and tourism services and be able to participate in the process of analysis, administration, planning, and management. The programme is oriented toward competencies in health tourism and e-tourism development. In the study programme students have an opportunity to select one of specialisations relevant to today’s labour market – Health Tourism and E-tourism that will enable them to deepen their professional knowledge in the selected field. After completion of studies students will be able to critically evaluate, reflect and solve specific problems related to health tourism or innovative e-tourism in their professional activities. , having specialized in – E-tourism, The students of E-tourism specialisation will acquire knowledge and abilities of application and installation of the newest information communication technologies in tourism sphere oriented to innovations in tourism sector, will get acquainted with tourism information systems, the basics of protection of intellectual property, will be able to solve the issues of e-services and e-marketing development, to identify strategic development problems of e-tourism and to formulate innovative suggestions for their solution.- Health Tourism, Having selected Health Tourism specialisation students will acquire competences necessary for professional activities in health and health promotion services’ market, will form knowledge and abilities in the spheres of health tourism services, marketing, project management, assurance of network cooperation, will be able to identify strategic problems of health tourism development and to form suggestions for problem solutions.
